Favorite thing about Baylor: It has to be the Baylor Experience. The community on campus is second to none, and our roots grow deep here in Waco. As a Baylor Bear, you will never be lacking for close friendships and memories, made in the spirit of fellowship, that last a lifetime. While we're united by more than a century of tradition, our own individual Baylor Experience is unique to each and every one of us.
Favorite place in Waco: Cameron Park. From the towering oaks to the stunning views overlooking the Brazos, the park transports you from the heart of Waco to a place of natural beauty a world away. Whether it’s while I’m hiking the trails, enjoying a picnic with friends, or sitting in the shade with a good book and sounds of the river running beside me, Cameron Park proves itself to be a genuine treasure every time I visit.
What inspires me: I think I am most inspired by possibilities inherent in life. With each breath we take there are endless opportunities to explore the world around us, discover something new about the nature of the universe we inhabit, or even experience growth within ourselves. Simply getting to live is truly astonishing.
Favorite Hobbies: I love to travel. Be it around Texas, across the United States or all over the globe; if there’s a unique place to visit or fascinating culture to explore, count me in! That being said, I will always appreciate a comfy couch and an interesting program to binge on a lazy afternoon.
Fun Facts about me: I am an Air Force vet, Baylor alum and Honors College grad. (Shoutout to the BIC) From the Pacific Coast to the Atlantic Seaboard, even the Gulf of Mexico, I have lived coast to coast across the ol’ US of A. Though each region was distinctive, I came to learn that we have much more in common than that which divides us.
My advice to you (the prospective student): Every day we have on this Earth is a gift. Live your life with curiosity. Practice gratitude. Take a chance. Do some good.
