Baylor Pathways
We now offer four unique pathway programs into Baylor for select students: Baylor Bridge, Baylor Accelerate, Verto Bears and the MCC Start Program.
Pre-College Pathway
Baylor Accelerate: Beginning the summer after their sophomore year of high school, students can apply to take discounted summer courses online through Baylor Accelerate. Not only can they get a jumpstart on their college career by earning transferable credit hours, but they can even earn Early Admission into Baylor upon meeting certain requirements!
Summer Start Pathway
Baylor Bridge: The Baylor Bridge program is a conditional freshman acceptance to Baylor University. Students invited to this program will participate together in an on-campus summer session designed to help them transition into full-time enrollment in the fall through intentional community building and targeted academic support.
Alternative Start Pathways
Verto Bears: Verto Bears is a study abroad program through Verto Education that offers a direct transfer to Baylor University. All of their classes are fully transferable and offer a globally-focused program. Verto is designed to help you achieve an enriched first year of college and prepare you for success in an increasingly global marketplace.
MCC Start Program: The MCC Start Program is an invite-only program in partnership with McLennan Community College (MCC) created specifically for students who we believe will thrive at Baylor with just a little more time to strengthen their academic foundation. This pathway is your direct route to becoming a Baylor Bear!
Accelerate, Baylor University’s Pre- College Program, allows high school students to get a jump start on college courses and prepare for college-level rigor.
The Baylor Bridge Program is a conditional summer pathway that allows students to begin classes on campus, earn Baylor credit, and transition to full fall admission after successfully completing the program.
At McLennan Community College, you’ll take Baylor-transferable courses many with flexible online or in-person options—while saving money and getting connected in the Waco community.
