Financial Assistance for International Students
Scholarship programs are special opportunities to receive additional awards to Baylor in varying amounts. These are also great opportunities to visit our award-winning campus, interact with faculty and staff, and learn more about the exciting opportunities Baylor offers. First-time undergraduate international students should consider the following options as they look to finance their Baylor education.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Admitted first-time international students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships based on a complete review of their high school academic performance.
Need-Based Aid
Baylor offers need-based financial aid through three applications, depending on your situation. You only need to complete one.
Which application is right for you?
FAFSA®: For U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. Eligible non-citizens include permanent residents (green card holders), refugees, asylees, certain visa holders, and other eligible categories.
CSS Profile: students entering in the Spring/Summer 2027 class will need to submit both the FAFSA and CSS Profile.
TASFA: For Texas residents who are not eligible for the FAFSA.
BIFAA: For international students, meaning students who are not U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or eligible non-citizens and will require a visa (such as an F-1 visa) to study in the U.S.

FAFSA® (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and CSS Profile
Fall 2027 Students: Submit only the FAFSA. The CSS Profile is not required for the 2027–2028 academic year.
To be considered for the maximum amount of need-based financial aid, you must submit the FAFSA. It is used to determine eligibility for federal, state (if applicable), and Baylor financial aid, and you'll complete a new one each year you're in college.
Baylor's FAFSA code is 003545.
The early deadline to submit is November 15.
The priority deadline to submit is February 1.
Spring or Summer 2027 Students: Students seeking need-based aid for an academic year prior to 2027–2028 must submit both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile to be considered for the maximum amount of aid. The 2026–2027 FAFSA and CSS Profile are now open.
Baylor’s CSS Profile school code is 6032.
The final deadline to submit the CSS Profile for all Freshman and Transfer Admission Plans is February 1.
If you miss the final deadline, submit as soon as possible to be considered for any remaining funds.
Please note: After you submit, it may take a few weeks for your status to appear in your goBAYLOR account while your applications are processed. No further action is needed if your CSS Profile shows as "Submitted", and your FAFSA shows as "Processed Successfully." Once you're accepted, if information from either application is still pending, goBAYLOR will explain what additional information is needed.
TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid)
Texas residents who are not eligible for the FAFSA can complete the TASFA. It is used to determine eligibility for Texas state aid (such as the Texas Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG)) and Baylor financial aid, and you'll complete a new one each year you're in college.
The priority deadline to submit the TASFA is February 1, 2027.
The final deadline to submit the TASFA is June 30, 2027
BIFAA (Baylor International Financial Aid Application)
International students and others who are not eligible for the FAFSA may still be considered for Baylor institutional aid. Beginning with the incoming Fall 2027 class, these students can apply through the BIFAA.
The priority deadline to submit the BIFAA is November 1, meaning you’ll receive your aid package sooner.
The final deadline to submit the BIFAA is February 1.
As part of the application, you'll upload a bank statement, completed in coordination with your financial institution(s), that shows your financial ability to attend Baylor. If you do not wish to be considered for aid, you can indicate that within the BIFAA. Financial aid packages are sent to admitted students on a rolling basis.
Completing the BIFAA does not guarantee an institutional aid award, but it is required to be considered for one. It is not required for merit-based scholarships, which are awarded automatically based on your admission application. Institutional aid is just one part of funding a Baylor education. Additional opportunities are available through Scholarship Universe, departmental scholarships, and outside scholarships.
Work-Study
If your status allows you to work in the U.S., you are eligible for on-campus work-study jobs. These positions usually pay competitive wages for up to 20 hours per week. For more information, visit our Student Employment website, explore Work-Study details, or contact One Stop to learn more.
Loans
Private student loans that require a U.S. citizen as a co-signer may be an additional resource.
