Invitation to Excellence
Overview
Invitation to Excellence is a competitive program that showcases many of the exciting academic opportunities Baylor offers. Through this elite program, students have robust experiences and conversations with faculty representing all nine schools and colleges.
Scholarship Value
Each student that is selected to attend Invitation to Excellence will receive a $20,000 scholarship ($5,000 per year for 4 years) just for attending!
Requirements for Consideration
- Students who will be considered for invitation to this program are high-achieving, hoping to enroll in the Fall 2025 term and typically have scored 1420 or above on the SAT or a 32 or above on the ACT. Test optional students with high academic GPAs and high class rankings are eligible to be considered for an invitation.
- Submit a 2024 completed Baylor Application for Admission by November 1. Though a completed admission file is not due until November 1, we encourage you to submit your materials early to enhance your opportunity for consideration.
- Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR)—Recommended: With the Self-Reported Academic Record or SRAR, you’re able to self-report your academic information, including coursework and grades, which will allow Baylor Admissions to process your application more holistically (at no additional cost). The Baylor SRAR is separate from your admissions application, so you will need to link it to your application through goBAYLOR. When completing the SRAR, you will want to make sure the information you enter matches your high school transcript, so we recommend having a copy of your transcript available. To learn more about SRAR, please visit baylor.edu/SRAR.
- Maintain 3.0 cumulative GPA in Baylor undergraduate courses.
If Selected to Participate
- After you’ve submitted your application to Baylor, you’ll gain access to your personal goBAYLOR portal.
- If applying via Common App or ApplyTexas, you will receive an email 24-48 hours after submitting your application with a special link to activate your goBAYLOR account.
- Please do not create a duplicate goBAYLOR account as this could cause significant delays in your review for admission.
- If selected to attend, expect to receive communication from us via email along with your special registration link in your goBAYLOR portal by December 18 under the "Events" tab.
- If invited, you must register for one of the following specific in-person event you are selected to attend. See dates below:

- Invitation to Excellence II will be held in-person on February 7-8, 2025.
