Tuition & Fees

As a private institution, Baylor's costs are the same regardless of your residency status. Very few students pay the full tuition "sticker price" and can fund their education through various scholarships, financial aid, loans and payment plans. More than 90% of students receive financial aid, and 84% receive merit-based scholarships. So, this number could look different for your specific situation.

Summer 2026

All Undergraduates Per Credit Hour $1,650

Effective for Summer 2025 for all new incoming students, the Guaranteed Tuition (GTO) rate will only apply to Fall and Spring terms. Summer tuition will be charged at the regular undergraduate summer tuition rate. Students under the GTO agreement before that term will continue to receive the same rates for summer as originally signed.

Summer Accelerate Program
Accelerate Tuition Per Credit Hour $775

Baylor's Summer Accelerate Program is a way for high school students to begin college courses in an online environment while still in high school at a discounted rate.

For more detailed information, please visit https://accelerate.web.baylor.edu/.

Summer Billing

The summer semester has four sessions: Summer I, Summer II, Full Summer, and Minimester.

Students will receive one semester bill with charges for all summer classes. The financial obligation for Summer must be met by the due date listed on your bill. If you register after the semester due date, payment is due in full by the date indicated on the next monthly billing statement.

Wintermester 2026-2027

Tuition Per Credit Hour$1,650

Most Wintermester classes are 3 credit hours with a tuition charge of $4,950 per course (calculated as 3 credit hours × $1,650 each). All Wintermester charges will be included on the following Spring semester billing statement.

Additional Cost Information

  • Meal Plan Options and Pricing
  • On-Campus Housing Rates
  • Optional Fees and Charges (e.g., parking permit, yearbook, fines/fees, etc.)

*The Matriculation Fee is a one-time fee charged to all newly admitted, degree seeking students to offset the costs associated with admissions and the creation of a new student record.

Election of the 2026-2027 Guaranteed Tuition Option (GTO) will begin June 1, 2026 and the deadline to enroll is August 31, 2026.

Baylor University's Guaranteed Tuition Option offers students the opportunity to lock in a four-year tuition rate instead of paying the regular tuition rate, which is subject to increase annually. Participation in the Guaranteed Tuition Option eliminates uncertainty about the cost of tuition, and it allows students and families to prepare their educational budgets more accurately. Guaranteed Tuition rates only apply to the Fall and Spring terms. Summer terms are billed at the standard Summer rate for all undergraduate students.

2026 - 2027 Tuition Rates

Undergraduate students enrolling full-time (12 hours or more) in the Fall of 2025 will be charged one of the following tuition rates:

 Semester RateAnnual Rate
Regular Tuition Rate$33,878$67,756
Guaranteed Tuition Option$37,778$75,556

Students will be charged the regular tuition rate if no election is made. Undergraduate students who lock in the guaranteed rate but enroll in fewer than 12 hours in a fall/spring semester will pay an hourly rate of $3,149 per hour.  Students in need of more than four years (48 months) to complete their Baylor education will be charged tuition at the University's regular rate in the fifth year and in any subsequent years.

Graduation Success Resources

This video series, hosted by Dr. Blaine McCormick, Associate Professor - Management & Entrepreneurship in the Hankamer School of Business, is designed to provide food for thought when planning for your college experience.

Additional financial and graduation success resources are available on our Financial Literacy webpage.

Election to Participate

Election of the 2026-2027 Guaranteed Tuition Option will begin June 1, 2026 and the deadline to elect is August 31, 2026 (Fall due date). During the enrollment period, students may enroll by logging into BearWeb > Student Financial Resources > Guaranteed Tuition Option.

By electing to participate in the Guaranteed Tuition Option, undergraduate students choose to pay a tuition rate that is initially higher than the regular rate. However, this guaranteed tuition rate is fixed and will not increase over the 48-month enrollment period. Graduate studies are not covered under this program; therefore, students who graduate and continue their graduate studies at Baylor during the 48-month period will not be eligible for the guaranteed tuition rate and will instead be charged the standard tuition rate for their graduate program.

Cancellation

Enrollment in the Guaranteed Tuition Option may be canceled at any time by contacting Student Accounts. Notice received within the first two weeks of a semester will terminate the election effective that semester. When notice is received after the first two weeks of a semester, termination will become effective (and the student will be charged the regular tuition rate) beginning the following semester.

PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

2026-2027 Guaranteed Tuition Option participants must acknowledge the following:

  1. Participants will be charged the 2026-2027 guaranteed tuition rate during the 48-month period beginning in the Fall of 2026 and ending in the Summer of 2030.
  2. No discount or savings has been promised or guaranteed by the University, and no promise has been made by the University regarding any future tuition rates.
  3. Students may cancel this election only by submitting a request in writing to the Baylor University Student Accounts office. Notice of termination received within the first two weeks of a semester will become effective that semester; notice of termination received after the first two weeks of a semester will become effective the following semester.
TERMS OF ENROLLMENT

By electing to participate in the Guaranteed Tuition Option, the participant(s) and the University agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Condition of Effectiveness - To be eligible for the Guaranteed Tuition Option, the student must meet the University policies and procedures for admission. If the student has not been admitted as of the date of any signed Agreement, such Agreement shall not become effective unless and until the student has been so admitted.
  2. Payment - The student shall make payments in accordance with the University payment policy.
  3. Scope of Agreement - This Agreement covers only tuition charges as defined, from time to time, by the University and in no way limits the University's rights in respect of matters, including University charges, not covered hereby. The benefits of this Agreement are not assignable to any other student, nor may they be utilized for any term beginning 48 or more months after the first term of this Agreement.
  4. Refunds - If the enrollment of the student is canceled for any reason (including withdrawal, suspension, or expulsion), the amount of any refund of tuition shall be in accordance with the general refund policy of the University. The University reserves the right to offset any amounts refundable hereunder against any other amounts owed by the student. No portion of the guaranteed tuition rate is refundable in any manner other than as described in the University's refund policy, whether or not the participant is able to maintain enrollment at Baylor during the 48-month enrollment period.

For more information about the Guaranteed Tuition Option please contact Student Accounts or call (254) 710-2311.

Frequently Asked Questions about Baylor's Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan
What is Guaranteed Tuition Rate?Baylor University's Guaranteed Tuition Option offers students the opportunity to lock in a four-year tuition rate instead of paying the regular tuition rate, which is subject to increase annually. Participation in the Guaranteed Tuition Option eliminates uncertainty about the cost of tuition, and it allows students and families to prepare their educational budgets more accurately.
What are the benefits of the Guaranteed Tuition Rate vs Traditional Tuition Rate? The Guaranteed Tuition Rate ensures that your tuition price remains the same for four years, covering eight consecutive fall and spring semesters. This fixed rate helps you plan and budget with certainty, as you’ll know exactly what you’ll pay for tuition during this period. In contrast, Traditional Tuition Rates can increase each year, making it harder to predict and manage your costs.
Who is eligible for the Guaranteed Tuition Rate?First-year undergraduate students and transfer students are eligible for the Guaranteed Tuition Option.
If I participate in the Texas Tomorrow Fund, or have a 529 Plan, am I still eligible to opt into the Guaranteed Tuition Option?Yes
What if I enroll in a Study Abroad Program? The Guaranteed Tuition Rate will apply to the tuition portion of your charges for the semester(s) you are enrolled in a Study Abroad Program. However, any program fees associated with the Study Abroad Program will not be covered by the Guaranteed Tuition Rate.
What happens if I don’t graduate in four years or am enrolled in a 5-year Accelerated program? The Guaranteed Tuition Rate covers tuition for up to four years. For any additional semesters beyond the initial eight, such as in a 5-year Accelerated program, you will be charged the traditional rate. Please note that this rate for the fifth year is not yet published and will be available around March of the preceding year.
Can I enroll in the Guaranteed Tuition Option, leave school for a semester or a year, and return to the plan? No, the Guaranteed Tuition Rate applies only to four consecutive years of enrollment. If you take a break, you would not be able to return to the plan.
What are the summer tuition rates under the Guaranteed Tuition Option? The Guaranteed Tuition Rate only applies to Fall and Spring semesters. Summer tuition rates are separate and vary based on the new hourly rate for the upcoming school year. Students with the Guaranteed Tuition Rate will pay the traditional Fall/Spring rate for summer courses.
How do I opt in to the Guaranteed Tuition Rate?Election of the Guaranteed Tuition Option begins each year on June 1 and the deadline to enroll is August 31 (Fall semester due date). During the enrollment period, students may enroll by logging into BearWeb > Student Financial Resources > Guaranteed Tuition Option.
Who do I contact for more information about the Guaranteed Tuition Rate? You can contact Baylor One Stop Student Services at 254-710-2311, baylor.edu/sfs/contactus, or click on the Bear-Bot icon on the bottom right of your screen.
