The Global Gateway Program (GGP)

Who joins the Global Gateway Program?

The Global Gateway Program is designed for students who do not meet the entry requirements for academic English at the time of application. The program may be 1, 2, or 3 semesters depending on students’ current English level.

Why Study in the Global Gateway Program?

Our program is created specifically for students whose first/native language is not English. Our faculty will provide you with English language instruction, study skills, and personal support, which will help you be successful in your Baylor education.

What Will You Study?

Your full-time student schedule will focus on language skills such as writing essays, listening to lectures, taking notes, having class discussions, and giving formal presentations. You will also take Transition to the University, which provides instruction on important concepts and resources that are essential to your student experience. Other classes include Pre-Calculus and Perspectives on Global Culture.

Entry Requirements

Baylor University has specific admission requirements. In order to be accepted into your program, you must meet the academic requirements, as well as a minimum level of English language proficiency.
