Baylor Benefit Scholarship
The Baylor Benefit Scholarship offers full tuition coverage for a select number of incoming freshmen with significant financial need and an adjusted gross income under $50,000. Rooted in Baylor's mission to make education accessible, this competitive scholarship ensures that awarded students can thrive academically and spiritually.
Who should apply:
- Incoming freshmen effective Fall 2025
- U.S. citizens, permanent residents and eligible non-citizens who are able to complete the FAFSA
- Students with demonstrated financial need as reported on the CSS Profile
- Students with an adjusted gross income under $50,000 as reported on the FAFSA
How to Apply
The application will be made available in goBAYLOR to qualifying students once we have received and processed their FAFSA and CSS Profile applications.
Requirements to be considered during Baylor’s holistic scholarship review process:
- Must be admitted to Baylor University for Fall 2025 entry
- Must complete the FAFSA & CSS Profile by March 1, 2025
- Must complete the online Baylor Benefit Scholarship application (available to eligible students in goBAYLOR on the Financial Aid tab)
Timeline:
- Deadline to Apply: March 1, 2025
- Award Notification Date: On or before March 15, 2025
- Deadline to Accept Award: April 1, 2025
- Deadline to Submit Baylor Enrollment Deposit: May 1, 2025
Award Details:
If awarded, a student’s Baylor tuition is fully covered by a combination of the Baylor Benefit Scholarship, Baylor Distinction Award (merit-based), federal grants, state grants and Baylor need-based grants. This award applies only to regular tuition costs and does not cover additional expenses such as housing, meal plans or other fees.
Maintaining Eligibility:
- Must submit the FAFSA annually
- Must maintain an adjusted gross income below $50,000 and demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate a 2.5 cumulative GPA at the end of each Spring semester
- Scholarship is available for up to 8 semesters
Additional Opportunities:
Students who are awarded the Baylor Benefit Scholarship may participate in voluntary research-based activities to study the impact of the scholarship on their Baylor experience.
