The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

The School of Education offers a unique experience for Teacher Education majors. Unlike other programs, Baylor's School of Education offers seven semesters of hands-on experience in the classroom. The program builds upon classroom knowledge, and the students are given increasing responsibility each semester. By the students' senior year, they teach full time during the fall and spring semesters. Several schools in Waco partner with the Baylor School of Education to provide field experience for Teacher Education majors.
