Statistics
The Statistics program is designed to provide a balance between statistical theory and applications of statistical methods. It helps students discern how principles are applied to the collection, analysis, presentation and interpretation of data. With an emphasis being placed on acquiring research, consulting and teaching skills, the curriculum is applicable to biomedical, industrial and academic careers. Available courses include:
- Mathematical Statistics I and II
- Intermediate Statistical Methods
- Statistical Reasoning
- Data Management and Mining
- Sampling Techniques
Graduates can expect to find job opportunities as research analysts, data analyst or statisticians. Many students also pursue teaching opportunities in the field or continue their studies through graduate school.
