Chistianity and Arts
To minor in Christianity & the Arts, students need to complete 18 hours of study within the College of Arts & Sciences. Christianity & the Arts complements many majors, including those for art-makers (Theatre Arts, Art, the School of Music, Film and Digital Media), those in departments that reflect on the arts (English, Art History, Great Texts, Medical Humanities), and those in departments that reflect on Christianity (Religion, Philosophy). In each of these fields, Christianity & the Arts helps students press deeper into the questions of the major by advancing perspectives and methodologies the major itself may not offer. In an interdisciplinary minor like Christianity & the Arts, students can pursue questions across multiple domains, going deeper by learning the approaches of multiple fields—and so enhancing the student’s experience of their chosen major.
