Middle East Studies
To minor in Middle East Studies, students must complete 18 hours of study within the College of Arts & Sciences. The Middle East Studies minor is intentionally interdepartmental and interdisciplinary. It is designed to provide students with a broad range of knowledge related to the Middle East: the cradle of both Western civilization and its major religious traditions—Christianity, Judaism and Islam. This minor also provides the student with several opportunities to travel to the Middle East. The central geographical focus of this program will be on the Arab states, Israel, Turkey and Iran. The chronological scope of the program will range from the dawn of civilization to the present.
