As a sophomore, students are required to join a research lab and continue for at least 2 years. In addition, the coursework is ideal for students who want to focus on a particular area of study for a PhD.
This selective major admits only 10 positions each year, allowing for small class sizes and more personalized attention from professors and faculty.
