Favorite thing about Baylor: There are so many things to get involved in at Baylor. It is very rare that you will ever have the same experience as the person next to you. With a plethora of majors and classes, several student organizations, and endless friends to make, Baylor allows you to truly find an experience for you!
Favorite place in Waco: It definitely has to go to Union Hall! It is an amazing place to go if you want to taste what Waco has to offer. All the businesses are mom and pop shops from around the area, so you get to support small businesses while enjoying some awesome foods. Plus, there’s plenty of restaurants at Union, so if you and your friends can’t decide what to eat, it’s the perfect place to go to!
What inspires me: Being able to help those achieve what they want to achieve! I didn’t have the easiest time applying to universities as a First Gen Student, so now being able to talk to those who are struggling through this process gives me great joy and fulfillment.
Favorite hobbies: I love watching any sport! Soccer and basketball would have to be my favorites though. I was a musician for a long time so being able to listen to albums and analyze them is always a lot of fun! I’m also a film nerd so if I’m not watching a game, or listening to music, I’ll probably be watching a movie with some friends.
Fun facts about me: I was in the Baylor University Golden Wave Band and Courtside Players all 4 years so I’ve been to plenty of sporting events both in Waco and various locations for tournaments or away games!
My advice to you: Do everything as early as you can! Don’t put anything off when it comes to applying. Ask for those rec letters early, be on top of essays and applications. The earlier you get it out of the way, the more you get to enjoy your senior year of high school, and the more you get to look forward to what comes next!
