Favorite thing about Baylor: The community among the students, professors and staff extends beyond campus, and it’s so fun to meet a Baylor Bear in California because it’s like instant family.
Favorite place in Waco: Spice Village!
What inspires me: I truly believe our world would be a much better place if we all lived by the words, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I try to live this out daily and find joy in helping others. Other verses that inspire me are Philippians 2:1-4, especially 3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others."
Favorite hobbies: I started traveling when I was about 6 months old and continue to travel as much as possible. I love exploring new places, learning about cultures and traditions, trying new food (although I'm not Andrew Zimmerman-brave), and interacting with people. I also love to bake. I'm definitely not an expert, but I love to find new recipes to try. Lastly, I really enjoy going to the movies. I'll watch almost anything except for scary movies.
Fun facts about me: I grew up overseas and after graduating from Baylor, I lived in Nicaragua for 11 years. I have a really good sense of direction, and I love grocery stores.
My advice to you: I know that the idea of going to Texas might seem overwhelming, and it’s easy to look at where your friends are going and think it would just be easier to go wherever they go. I challenge you to truly figure out where the best fit for you is and pursue that path. Last thought, reach out to your Admissions Counselors. As much as we love to interact with parents, we love to connect with our students!
