Favorite thing about Baylor: The Baylor Family! From the traditions that we share to the strong sense of community on and beyond campus, it’s good to be a Baylor Bear! The Baylor experience is a personal one. Faculty and staff know your name and truly care about you and your success. You cannot walk across campus without seeing someone you know! SIC ‘EM BEARS!
Favorite place in Waco: Common Grounds is so close to campus, and they have the best coffee! It’s a great place to meet up with a friend and study. Lula Jane’s is a hidden gem of Waco – the from-scratch food and baked goods are heavenly, as is the indoor/outdoor space. Fabled Bookshop & Cafe is a relatively new addition to downtown Waco and has quickly become one of my favorites!
What inspires me: I am inspired by the amazing friends and family that I get to do life with! They love deeply, give generously, and lead with excellence. My travels inspire me to celebrate and appreciate culture, tradition, and the power of connection through storytelling. Ultimately, I am inspired by my Christian faith to love and joyfully serve others every day.
Favorite hobbies: I love to be outside and in nature! I’m a fan of scenic hikes, pick-up soccer games, and water-side picnics. Things I enjoy: movie + game nights with friends, golden retrievers, road trips and good music, photography, and reading books with a cup of tea.
Fun facts about me: I was a Community Leader in a Baylor freshman residence hall during undergrad. I lived on campus all 4 years and absolutely loved it!! Ask me anything about campus life and the freshman experience :) Also, my younger sister is a student at Baylor!
My advice to you:
1) Come to Baylor’s beautiful campus and talk to current students! During my first campus visit as a prospective student, two Baylor seniors came up to me and asked if they could share all of their favorite things about Baylor. These conversations really set Baylor apart and helped me to make my college decision!
2) You don’t have to have your major and career all figured out before you come to college! Just get started and take classes that interest you. Baylor professors are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they teach, you are sure to be inspired!
3) College is such an exciting time in your life! Enjoy the journey and make the most of your experience by getting involved on campus and in the Waco community. In no time you will be calling this place home!
