Film Theory and Criticism
To minor in Film Theory and Criticism, students must complete 18 hours of study within the Department of Film and Digital Media. By combining theory and practice, this new program will give students a background in the history of film as an art form, a thorough understanding of the major film theories that have guided critical understanding of the medium, and practice in the art of film criticism itself.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study. Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major, or they may choose to pursue an area of interest completely outside their major. For example, an English major may choose to minor in Film Theory and Criticism to supplement their major.
