News Editorial
To minor in News Editorial, students must complete 18 hours of study within in the Journalism department. Curriculum is centered around sound and ethical reporting and writing for all aspects of the news. News Editorial students have the opportunity to exercise their skills by writing for The Baylor Lariat and Focus Magazine, both award-winning student publications.
Most degree programs at Baylor do not require a student to select a minor area of study. Students may choose to minor in a field that supplements their major. Or, they may choose to pursue an area of interest completely outside their major. For example, an Marketing major may choose to minor in News-Editorial to supplement their major.

- Editing
- Magazine and Feature Writing
- Reporting and Writing
- History of Photography
- Mass Media and Popular Culture
