Favorite thing about Baylor: My favorite thing about Baylor is the special attention that Baylor gives to its students. Whether it’s programs specifically designed to integrate freshmen into college, or campus-wide events that create a sense of spirit and unity throughout the University, Baylor does an incredible job at making each student feel welcome and comfortable on campus. It was through these programs and events that I really found my place at Baylor!
Favorite place in Waco: Katie’s Frozen Custard is my go-to spot when I need a late-night snack!
What inspires me: I’m constantly inspired by my parents. They put everything they had into raising me, and I still learn from them daily. I try to live my life in a way that is honoring to them.
Favorite hobbies: I love sports! Whether it’s watching or playing them myself, I love the competitive aspect that sports bring to life. Nothing beats going to a home game at McLane Stadium during the fall.
Fun facts about me: My hometown of Fallbrook, California is the avocado capital of the world. Also, I’m a third-generation Baylor student, and the 13th overall member of my family to attend Baylor.
My advice to you: Don’t be afraid to branch out of your comfort zone when looking at different colleges. Moving out of state to come to school was a big change for me, but it ended up being a great experience. No matter what you are nervous about in your transition to college, don’t be afraid to confront it head-on. A lot of times things aren’t as scary as they seem!
